Heart in Hand, Critters Hollow Ranch and Rescue is a 501c non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted pets (dogs, cats, horses and other farm animals) and finding suitable forever homes for them. Our mission is that our organization ensures each animal under our care is spayed or neutered to help with the over population of unwanted animals, is up to date on vaccinations, is tested and treated for heartworms, and begins training in basic commands. We screen eligible applicants for each adoptee and match them up with families best suited for their energy, temperament, and abilities. We operate solely on donations, sponsors and volunteers! 100% of all donations are used directly for the care of our rescues. Our donations determine our capacity and we ALWAYS want to rescue more! Each year we host a music festival to help raise money for our rescues and fosters. The money we raise helps us with vet bills for spaying and neutering, vaccines, food, and much more.
Our county does not have an animal shelter. Unfortunately, this means many unwanted pets are abandoned or dumped on our backroads. All rescue/foster efforts are put forth by private citizens who choose to help make a difference one animal at a time.🖤🐾❤️
So…each year we invite various roots, folk, bluegrass, country, rockabilly (& other) artists from all the country to help us put on a mini-music festival by performing which helps us raise money for the upcoming year. 🖤🐾❤️ We cannot thank them enough, certainly could NOT do this without them and are extremely grateful for their support! 🖤🐾❤️ We encourage you to buy their merch please and tip them when you are here!
We invite the public to come enjoy a full day of live music with vendors, food, raffles and of course to meet the animals. We allow free camping on the property for Friday and Saturday evening as well (primitive tent camping, no hook-ups and as space allows). We will have activities for the kiddos including a tye-dye tent and rock hunt for prizes! Doggie visitors are welcome and will receive a free bandana and treat bag! (Doggies must be kept on leash please). If you love music, animals and a good time come join us!
Suggested donation is $20 for both days / $10 per day or you can donate to our Pet Food Drive of equal amount for admission! Kids 10 and under are FREE! annnddd...Come hungry! This year, Friday is tamale night and we will have a few breakfast items available on Saturday morning along with our full menu in the afternoon..and folks, we have an awesome menu!!! 🦴

Currently we are open to the public on weekends only and visitors MUST call ahead to schedule their visit. Visitors are welcomed and urged to schedule "Meet n' Greets" with our adoptable animals! We do not allow Meet n' Greets without an approved application. If you are interested in meeting one of our fosters, please fill out the online application first.

Our schedule for Meet n' Greets varies per season. At this time, we are scheduling on Sat. and Sun. between 1p - 6p. You must have an appointment to come visit.
During your Meet n' Greet we will introduce you to our foster and answer any questions you have. We encourage 1 on 1 time during the Meet n' Greet and allow you to hike/walk on the property if you choose so you can get to know each other better without a volunteer being present (you must sign a liability waiver to hike the property). Typically we allow 1 hour for the Meet n' Greet. If the meeting does not work out with the foster, our visitors are allowed to visit with any of our other available fosters during their scheduled time. We hope we can introduce you to your new best friend!
COME VOLUNTEER WITH US!
Do you love being around animals? WE DO and we LOVE our volunteers! Volunteers get hands on
experience helping to care for, feed, excercise and LOVE on our critters! We can also always use an
extra set hands 'round here fixing enclosures, cleaning tack, mucking and knocking down cobb webs -
you name it, we probably need help with it, so please feel free to come and spend a Sunday afternoon
with us! It's not always easy work but if you love animals like we do you'll end the day with a FULL
heart and a smile (:
We also accept volunteers who need to complete hours for community service (for credits or court ordered).

Pertaining to court ordered community service, certain offenses (non-violent cases only) will be considered on a case-by-case basis as to whether or not an individual will be allowed to volunteer with Heart in Hand, Critters Hollow Ranch and Rescue.
